I’m at the helm of an agency that I founded as a solopreneur a few years ago. There are a lot of things that can go wrong when you’re managing a lot of domains. Billing issues can cause domains to unexpectedly expire. Domain transfers can sometimes cause chaos, especially since my agency deals with bulk domains. The list goes on and on.
One time, we faced an issue where we had to transfer domains from various registrars. Naturally, this had even my seasoned team in a bit of confusion, but Moniker’s second-to-none customer support helped us clear up the issue in no time. As a result, we succeeded in getting those domains transferred over with no hassle. This let us solve a problem for our clients, which resulted in happy clients. And that’s conducive to our growth.
Another time, a billing discrepancy led to a small disaster: 30 of our clients’ domains suddenly expired overnight! This had to be resolved quickly because our clients’ operations were disrupted due to this. Thankfully, Moniker’s team held on to these domains for us, allowing us the time to correct the billing discrepancy. This meant that the domains actually didn’t expire, so we didn’t lose them (and our clients didn’t lose them).

My agency has been on a torrid pace of growth in the last couple of years. Our team members have increased along with our year-over-year revenue. We sometimes have more work than we know what to do with, which is a fantastic “problem” to have.
