Rights Holders Receive Equivalent .uk Domain(s)

August 22, 2017

All so-called .uk rights holders, who own one ore more .co.uk, .me.uk or .org.uk domain(s) registered before October 28, 2013 at 23:59 hrs have the right to receive the equivalent .uk domain(s). Moniker will give these .uk domains free for two years to the respective .uk rights holder (if available). In case of identical strings under .co.uk, .me.uk and/or .org.uk, the .co.uk owner will receive the .uk equivalent.

Where there is no .co.uk, the .org.uk holder will get the .uk equivalent. On September 4, 2017 we will register the appropriate domain(s) for a period of two years to the rights holder's account. If you are a rights holder and do not want us to register the domain(s) for you, please contact the Moniker support team by September 1, 2017.

Unlike our default settings, we will not automatically renew the .uk domains registered on behalf of the rights holders. Thus, if the rights holders do not use the domains there's nothing to do; the domains will expire after two years. To renew the domains, rights holders will have to change the renewal mode.
