18th August, 2020 onwards, our SSL & TLS certificates will be available for one year only. Existing certificates issued for multiple years will continue to remain valid.
The reason for this is an industry-wide change by Apple, Google, and Mozilla. Two-year certificates issued after 31st August will be mistrusted by their browsers. Therefore, all Certificate Authorities (CAs) will only offer SSL & TLS certificates with a validity period of one year.
This will affect all SSL & TLS brands - Sectigo, DigiCert, GeoTrust, Thawte, and RapidSSL.
In addition, there will be maintenance on August 18, 9am - 11am CEST during which both ordering and managing certificates may not be possible.
