On Wednesday morning, March 10, there was a fire at a data center in Strasbourg, that affected some of our domain and web forwarding services. The cause of this major incident is under investigation.
According to the incident report, "firefighters immediately intervened to protect local teams and prevent the spread of the fire.” It took 6 hours and more than 100 firefighters at the scene to get the flames under control. Luckily no one was hurt in the incident but some buildings were destroyed or seriously damaged.
As a consequence, a number of sites and businesses went down including some of our web and domain forwarding services. Since the incident, our technical team has been working tirelessly to get the web forwarding service back online.
