Reduced validity for SSL certificates

March 15, 2018The maximum possible term of SSL certificates with Domain Validation or Full Organization Authentication has been reduced from three (3) to two (2) years. This is an industry-wide change based on Ballot 193.

Thus, from now on new SSL certificates can only be ordered with a maximum term of two years. If you are currently using a certificate with a longer validity, it should continue to work as usual for the rest of the certificate's term and no action is required.
