Simplification of the .fr Owner Change

December 6, 2016

Afnic, the .fr registry, is going to change their trade process (domain owner change) on December 12, 2016 in order to make it simpler and more compliant with market standards. You can still initiate a .fr trade via the Moniker web interface as usual.

Effective December 12, the domain owner will be responsible for obtaining the approval of the outgoing and incoming registrant to carry out the transaction. He receives an e-mail with the respective instructions. The trade will not be charged and the transaction will not change the domain name's expiry date. Along with the successful trade the domain authcode will be updated as well and needs to be provided to the new registrant.

Please note that all changes apply to the other Afnic ccTLDs  .re, .yt, .wf, .tf, and .pm as well.
