Domain Masters: Online Radio Talk Show

Domain Masters is a free online radio talk show dedicated to teaching listeners how to register domain names, build websites, monetize website traffic and protect your online brand. The radio show airs each Wednesdays at 7:00pm EST.

Monte Cahn, Founder and CEO of Moniker.com is the host of Domain Masters. Mr. Cahn, who has been in the domain business since 1996, explained the strategy for the online radio talk show. “We recognize the growth of free internet radio as a significant opportunity in the domain industry and the internet industry.” The radio show will focus on all aspects of domain names including: domain registration, buying and selling domains, establishing successful online websites, search engine optimization, and traffic monetization. Moniker.com & affiliated company DomainSystems.com, both ICANN accredited domain registrars, were the first to auction a domain name for over $1 million with the sale of Wallstreet.com in 1999 and the first to sell a domain name for more than $2 million with the sale of Autos.com and manage some of the largest domain portfolios on the web, including the NHL, Lions Gate Films, Jupitermedia, Marchex, Nokta, FMA, CitiesUnlimited, and many others.

WebMasterRadio.FM internet radio was launched on November 17, 2004 at the WebMasterWorld Conference in Las Vegas. This 24-hour free internet radio station produces original programming and specialized content for domainers, webmasters, SEO’s, and those just starting internet businesses.

Domain Investor Frank Schilling and Roland LaPlante

Monte is joined by domain investor Frank Schilling. Frank Schilling coined the term domain investor, describing those who invest in high-value generic domain names for the purpose of future development. The phrase never really caught on and today industry participants in this space are collectively known as domainers. Frank Schilling patented the "Generic Top Level Domain Rerouting System" in 2003, financed the Caribbean's first ICANN accredited domain name registrar in 2004, joined as a member of the ICANN business constituency and cofounded the non profit Internet Commerce Association in 2006.
Also on the program is Roland LaPlante, Chief Marketing Officer of Afilias. Afilias is a global leader in advanced back-end domain name registry services and provides a wide range of advanced capabilities essential to the smooth and efficient operation of any Internet domain name registry.

In 2004 he resigned from CBM to relocate to Barcelona Spain where he lives with his wife and son.
